Where to Job Search (That’s Not Just Indeed)

Indeed and LinkedIn are fine, but they’re full of ghost jobs and recycled spam. Here’s a list of lesser-known, vetted, and *actually useful* job boards—especially for Vegas locals or remote work.

FlexJobs

Curated remote and hybrid job listings. You’ll need a subscription, but they vet postings hard and refund if you’re not satisfied.

Remotive

Remote-only jobs from global companies. Search by timezone and role. No login required to browse.

Remote OK

Minimalist, developer-friendly board with plenty of remote jobs. Filter by experience level and type (full-time, contract, freelance).

We Work Remotely

One of the oldest and most respected remote work boards. Jobs from major and indie companies alike.

Nevada State Job Portal

The official site for state and public sector jobs. Everything from DMV positions to public health and security work.

Nevada Contractor Bids (NSCB)

For licensed pros: Get access to open bids and RFPs posted by city departments and property management groups in Nevada.

EmployNV

Government-run site with verified job listings and free courses (Coursera, Google certificates, etc.). Great for entry-level + job-switchers.

Wellfound (AngelList)

Startup jobs—remote or local. Great for tech-savvy freelancers who want equity or flexible work.

CoolWorks

Seasonal and adventure-based jobs—parks, resorts, national monuments. Sometimes includes housing. Good for people who want a break from city life.

Aerotek & Randstad

Staffing agencies, but many work with electronics and manufacturing clients. You can skip their websites and go straight to their local office.

FactoryFix

Industrial jobs only (not much fluff, real factories).

Las Vegas Jobs

Local and filtered to Vegas employers.

Work For Nevada

Official state site with government and contractor jobs.

MSPA Americas (Mystery Shopping Professionals Association)

Reputable but does have a small $5/month that does not guarantee jobs but does offer some exclusive info and benefits.

LinkedIn Jobs

Surprisingly solid for manufacturing and tech roles.

Snagajob.com

Best for hourly and warehouse work. Straightforward. .

Vegas-local tip: Check your city government or library system. Many post real openings but don’t advertise beyond their own websites.
